Method to the Mayhem: April 14-19

Blog, Method to the Mayhem · April 14, 2025

This Week in Mayhem Programming – Focus on Endurance, Strength, and Skill

We’re kicking off a great week of Mayhem programming with a repeat from last year that focuses on upper body muscle endurance. Whether you’re new to the gym or a seasoned athlete, this is a great time to measure progress and challenge yourself!

Tuesday brings us single-arm pulling combined with moderate rep wall balls across five rounds. Expect a solid upper body pump and a good dose of grit.

Midweek, we’ll test your core with an ascending chipper that builds in difficulty as you go—bring your mental game and pacing strategies!

Thursday is all about gymnastics. You’ll work through a descending chipper where the skills become more advanced as the reps go down. This is a fun chance to level up and refine your technique!

Friday features another descending rep scheme—built to keep you moving with increasing intensity. After a dose of metabolic conditioning, dig deep and push the pace!

Saturday caps off the week with a partner workout designed for fun and fast-paced conditioning. Grab a friend and bring your teamwork!

Strength Focus:

  • Back Squat Progressions: Emphasis on raw strength and muscular endurance.

  • Bench Press Progressions: Building upper body strength, hypertrophy, and pressing stamina.

We’re also a few weeks into our current gymnastics cycle, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to refine your bodyweight movements.

Pro tip: Try to hit as many days as you can—each workout is designed to complement the others and build you into a stronger, more well-rounded athlete.

Let’s get after it this week!
